We built the first ever whisky cask bass drum

Short documentary / travel video for The Rhythm & Booze Project.

Our team travelled to the Isle of Islay to document the making of a unique bass drum following the steps of Felipe Schrieberg, Paul Archibald and a small group of professionals. The band performed one of its signature songs at Lagavulin Distillery thanks to their support.

The video showcases simultaneously the building process of the bass drum and the performance of the song “Boom Boom”. Vintage drum specialist James Yates assembled the instrument and audio technician Jim Shemilt set up the recording system. The result is a contemporary travelogue for social media edited by R&B in collaboration with us.
