GOLDEN ONE. THE BROTHERS GILLESPIE
Live performance recording for The Brothers Gillespie at Leith Depot.
The band was looking to record one of their latest songs in order to reach producers and a wider audience and they came to us with some ideas. After a few conversations and scouting locations we decided to film a “fake live” at the iconic venue Leith Depot in Edinburgh.
We teamed up with Ivan Martín from Recordings Onsite and after arranging the venue with additional lighting and props we went for coverage by bringing a total of four cameras to record simultaneously from various angles, including some camera slider moves.
The result is a mixture of the best takes and Ivan’s sound mastering. The video keeps a sober edit, enhancing the soulful performance of the artists. Some masking, graphics and colour grading was applied in the final delivery.
